Hi, I’m Candace!
When I began homeschooling, I quickly realized that while teaching my children at home was incredibly rewarding, it could also feel lonely at times. I longed for a place where families could come together—a place where children could learn, explore, build friendships, and create lasting memories, while parents found encouragement and community alongside them.
That dream became Country Lane Learning Center.
Inspired by the timeless charm of a one-room schoolhouse, I envisioned a learning environment where children of different ages could grow together, older students encouraging younger ones, curiosity was celebrated, and learning extended far beyond textbooks. I wanted a place where science became an experiment, history came alive through reenactments, writing sparked imagination, and every field trip became an unforgettable lesson.
At Country Lane, we believe education is about so much more than academics. It’s about nurturing confidence, character, creativity, responsibility, and a lifelong love of learning. We believe children learn best through hands-on experiences, meaningful relationships, and the freedom to discover the world around them.
We also believe parents are a vital part of their child’s education. Rather than stepping away, parents are invited to participate, build friendships, and become part of a supportive homeschool village. Some of the greatest lessons our children learn come from watching families serve, encourage, and grow together.
My hope is that every family who walks through our doors feels welcomed, supported, and inspired. Whether your child is attending our Educational Enrichment Program, joining a dance or cheer class, receiving one-on-one tutoring, or simply making new friends at our park day, my hope is that Country Lane becomes a place where they feel known, valued, and excited to learn.
